(Location cited as NH 915 841). Ice-house, Portmahomack, early 19th century. A vaulted ice-house, earth-covered, of about average size.

NH 9148 8417 A watching brief was undertaken on the excavation of a house plot between July 2001 and May 2005.

A trace was made of the ice-house that was demolished in 1994 (NH98SW 31). A small midden deposit of 13th- to 15th-century date was found in an area of former sand dunes. Finds include pottery, animal and fish bone, and three pieces of iron.
