A walled garden, in the grounds of Alva House, is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Perth and Clackmannan 1866, sheet cxxxiii). There is a large building on the N side of the garden and three smaller structures outside to the N. Only the outline of the garden is shown on the current edition of the OS 1:10000 map (1992).
