HY21NW 38.01 22454 16043 and c. 2268 1588
One building of brick and concrete survives on the N side of the track leading to the Yesnaby firing platform about 180m N of Forcewell farmsteading (HY21NW 48).
Two groups of huts and buildings associated with the firing platform are visible on RAF vertical air photographs (CPE/Scot/UK185, 1387-1389, flown 9 October 1946). The group visible at HY 2254 16043 is of two long buildings running N - S with another two small huts, . The surviving structure may possibly have been a power house as cable trenches from this building are visible on the air photographs, running E to the second group of huts at HY c.2268 1588 and W to the buildings at the firing platform.
The second group of four huts was situated about 70m to the SE on the N side of the track. One hut appears to be 'T' shaped.
