This scooped settlement is situated 60m W of the B709 public road, opposite the policies of the Samye-Ling Tibetan Budhist Centre (NT20SW 58). The interior, which measures about 25m from N-S by 20m transversely, is scooped into the slope on the S and SW, and its arc is defined by a stony bank up to 2.3m in thickness by 0.6m in height. The scarp forming the back of the settlement has been ploughed down by rig-and-furrow on the W, but on the SW it still stands about 1.5m high.
