An L-shaped building was recorded at this location during a walkover survey at Stronlairig as part of an environmental assessment for a proposed hydro-electric scheme. It was built in corrugated iron, with a concrete floor and cast iron guttering, and is associated with Sronlairig Lodge. Overall, it measures 4.25m NS by 4.9m EW. The building is a former electric generator house using water from the nearby river. There are remains of a belt generator and switchgear still in situ. The remains of concrete bases for an intake pipe can be seenin the riverbed. The building is marked on the 1992 OS map, but not the 1st or 2nd edition OS maps or the latest OS map. The site lies within an area of a new proposed powerhouse and is likely to be removed.
