The building at this site has been tentatively identified as Kirkintilloch RC School (W Gowan, 1894).
It is annotated as a school on the GIS map epoch 2 (Lanarkshire 1899) and epoch 3 (Lanarkshire 1914-1923), but does not appear on the epoch 1 map (Dumbartonshire, 1864). (AC 22 february 2005).
