A fine grained greenish-coloured stone 2" long and 1 1/2" square on the sides, with a small hole pierced through one end, probably a touch stone was found near the ruins of St. Salvador's Chapel Shapinsay, (HY51NW 22).

It was donated to the National Museum of Antiquities of Scotland (NMAS) by David Balfour of Balfour in 1862. (AL 20)
