Quogach is a working farmsteading comprising a mixture of 19th century buildings and large modern sheds, which were not recorded on the date of visit. A farmstead of four buildings is depicted here on a mid-18th century estate map (Foulis 1758-9); a slightly later map (May 1780-82) shows four buildings and an enclosure. The 1st edition of the 6-inch map (Buteshire 1869, Sheet CCIV) depicts two L-plan ranges, which still stand, the SE one incorporating a farmhouse. On the garden wall in front of the farmhouse there is a possible font, which was rescued from a development site in Rothesay.
Visited by RCAHMS (GFG, JMH) 7 May 2009.
