HU69SW 31 6391 9018.

At HU 639 902. A large trapezoidal mound named "Gobul's Knowe" (Information from Mr J J Laurenson, Aithbank) is situated in the field next to the road SE of Aith farm buildings. According to Mr Laurenson, this is the "burial place of a Pictish king named 'Gobul'". He further states that the large stone trough which is built into a dyke near the farm was found in the small modern quarry for road-metal, which is at the SE end of the mound.

Information from R G Lamb, Birmingham University 17 August 1970.
