(Centred NH 6475 4664). Where a small stream enters the Beauly Firth to the west of Kessock Ferry, a "yair" or fish-trap can be seen at low water. Two lines of stones are visible, to entrap fish left by the falling tide; the double line having probably been laid to suit neap and spring tides and to ensure continuity of a supply of fish.
