1895-1902. Large and imposing Scots Baronial house overlooking the village and out to sea. Built as a convalescent home for the Scottish Co-operative Society by Bruce and Hay Architects. The painted glass in the main stairwell depicts the Directors of the Co-operative at the time. Later stained glass from the 1930's is inset into panels in the basement dining room.

Information from RCAHMS (CAJS) 2010.

The building now houses a Christian youth charity.
