1st floor - above windows on outer bays, a cartouche (two in total) decorated with a thistle, with a garland of fruit and flowers running behind cartouche.
2nd floor - Two cartouches in broken, open segmental pediments - E. bay: a lion rampant on the cartouche, a swag of fruit below. W. bay: arms (of Edinburgh ?) - a castle with an anchor above, on cartouche, swag of fruit below.
4th floor - in the centre of each of the four capitals is a grotesque mask with swags of fruit below.
Top floor - above round windows on outer bays (below domes) are a pair of winged cherubs supporting a bearded male head (ywo groups in total).
Below corner domes - either side of four carved panels are two rams' heads (eight in total).
Above the four seasons are seven lions' heads painted gold.
