NS 2123 5544 A programme of archaeological works were undertaken from 23 July–15 August 2008, in response to a proposal for a housing development at this site. A proportion of the evaluation trenching targeted a possible chapel site (WoSASPIN 5746) and an enclosure site (NS25NW 26; WoSASPIN 5749). A total of 52 trenches, 7375m2, were excavated. The greenfield site proved to be archaeologically sterile. No remains relating to either the chapel or the enclosure sites were recorded during the evaluation.
