A rough oval shaped piece of detached bedrock (1m x 0.60m) has a single iron fitting embedded into it, probably for use as a mooring point for boats or pots.

Site recorded by GUARD during the Coastal Assessment Survey for Historic Scotland, 'The Firth of Forth from Dunbar to the Coast of Fife' 20th February 1996.
