NT 263 735 Work was undertaken 28–29 April 2008 prior to development. The evaluation consisted of four trenches, 8% of the area. A layer of rubble overburden covering a deep layer of sterile yellow sand was recorded in all four trenches. The trenches were excavated to a maximum depth of 3.5m onto bedrock. Trench 2 revealed a rubble stone well 1.7m in diameter. The well was un-bonded and although excavated to a depth of 3.5m the base was not reached. No other features of archaeological significance were identified.
