10 February 1874, SUPPLY, of Stornoway, brig, 175 tons, Official No. 13,775, Master John Macdonald, departed Archangel for Stornoway and Liverpool, 8 crew, carrying 1,414 barrels of tar. Departed Stornoway, remained wind-bound in Scalpay for nine weeks, stranded in Luce Bay, Wigtownshire. Inquiry held at Stornoway.

Stranraer, 15th Feb., the SUPPLY, McDonald, from Archangel to Liverpool, which stranded, 10th Feb., at Stairhaven, is seriously damaged and fills with the tide: all the sails and part of the spars and gear have been saved: the salvage of cargo depends entirely on the weather.

Stranraer, 27th Feb., the hull and materials of the SUPPLY, McDonald, from Archangel to Liverpool, which was stranded in Luce bay, 10th Feb., were sold by auction, yesterday, for £143: about 150 barrels of tar have been saved, and will be forwarded to Liverpool.
