Binning Wood, a mainly coniferous plantation situated WNW of Tyninghame House and W of the A198, bounded in the N by the Peffer Burn.. About 122.6 hectares in size and notable for several circular clearances with walks radiating from them, including a 'Bruce's Circle'.

The wood is depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Haddingtonshire, 1854, sheet ), which also shows the 'circular' clearances and occupies the same area as today.
