Galmisdale Farmhouse, c.1805 Tacksman's house, incorporating the battered walls of an earlier traditional cottage on one side, its improvement fuelled by kelp profits. Variously used since the the late 19th century as post office and inn, shooting lodge, factor's house, and proprietor's residence, it has now been sold by the Isle of Eigg Trust as a private house.
