Museum nan Eilean, 1896 Surviving part of former school built on Free Church feu (latterly the Nicolson Institute's Secondary School), known as the Francis Street Buildings; converted to a museum, 1995. Quoins, shaped gablets and large mullioned windows are defined by cement dressings; inside, a good tiled stairhall. Adjacent, the subsidiary Free Church (known as the Seminary), 1899-1900, is a rebuild of the original c.1840 school building, which had been converted to a church hall by 1858.
