Champfleurie, 1851, ?David Rhind

Charming house with an air of much greater antiquity (ancient Kingscavil may be incorporated). An L-shaped russet-hued jeu d'esprit, entered through an ogee-capped round tower in the corner. Plain and graceful decoration (remarkably similar to Bonnytoun House) restricted to the entrance. Chimneystacks and the finials on each gable. Tudor home farm, 1845, pantomime crenellations, hood-moulds and chimneystacks.

Taken from "West Lothian: An Illustrated Architectural Guide", by Stuart Eydmann, Richard Jaques and Charles McKean, 2008. Published by the Rutland Press http://www.rias.org.uk
