Anniesland Court, 833-853 Crow Road, 1966, Jack Holmes & Ptnrs

A principal landmark of western Glasgow since its construction. Twenty-two-storey narrow rectangular-plan tower block on commercial podium, with adjoining three-storey block to south. Cladding to podium and three-storey block altered 1984. Podium shops linked by covered walkway to upper terrace and enclosed lift/stairtower to residential tower block. Glazed stair linked to tower at enclosed access deck every third floor. Mosaic faced pre-cast concrete cladding strips alternate with horizontal glazing, gables red brick faced. Refurbished early 2000s.
