A Swiss-style cottage stands in the grounds of Ballindalloch Castle, in an area of woodland near the south lodge. Built around 1860, the cottage now provides holiday accommodation.
The cottage is two-storeys high, constructed of rubble, with the upper floor clad in horizontal painted wooden boards. A wide wooden-balustraded balcony surrounds the whole of the first floor. The roof is slated, with wide eaves supported by posts running up from the balcony.
The windows now have single panes of glass, but the original glazing probably consisted of small lattice-panes.
