The farmsteading of Lynemore is situated in Glen Carvie, about 200m west of the Water of Carvie. It comprises a dwelling house, Z-plan steading and a number of outbuildings.

A comparison of the current map with the 1st edition of the Ordnance Survey 6-inch map, published in 1869, indicates that some of the existing buildings may be of nineteenth-century date, although the steading has been enlarged considerably over the years.
