The current Ordnance Survey 1:10000 map of 1976 depicts a small row of cottages named Drumin Cottages about 200m south-east of Drumin steading.

These cottages are probably associated with the farm, perhaps providing accommodation for farm workers or a retired owner. As the cottages do not appear on the 1st edition 6-inch map (1872) or the 2nd edition 6-inch map (1902), so it is likely that they were built within the last century.
