The location assigned to this record is essentially tentative, being derived from the unverified location of loss that is cited by Whittaker. Kebock Head is not noted as such on the 1997 edition of the OS 1:50,00 map, but is apparently to be equated with the headland of A' Chabag on the E coast of Lewis, immediately S of the mouth of Loch Odhairn.

The entrance to Loch Sealg (Loch Shell) is ill-defined.
