NS 5488 7204 to NS 5500 7996 Published course (OS 50 inch 1967) resurveyed as per NS57SE 42.00 (at NS 5500 7198 to NS 5518 7200). The sharp alignment angle at NS 5499 7196 is necessary to maintain ground advantage, and can be deduced from the 1st edition of the OS 2 and a half inch map (Dunbartonshire 1863, sheet 23/16).
