A burnt mound is situated within a small gorse thicket on the NE bank of the more south-westerly of two burns which drain an area of boggy ground on the E side of Kirkbride Hill. D-shaped on plan, it measures 7.5m from NNW to SSE along the chord by 5.4m transversely and 0.5m in height. Small angular fragments of stone and pieces of charcoal were recovered from the upcast from two rabbit burrows.
