A U-shaped burnt mound is situated between the apex of a stream and the S bank of the Moffat Water. It measures 10.5m from WSW to ENE by 7.6m transversely and stands to a height of 0.3m. The hollow opens to the S and measures 4.9m from N to S by 3.5m transversely across the opening. The nature of the mound was tested by the removal of a turf revealing a mass of reddened angular fragments of stone and small pieces of charcoal within a matrix of loose black earth.

Visited by RCAHMS (SMF), 6 April 1990.

Listed as burnt mound.
