RCAHMS undertook a measured survey of the Peel of Fichlie on 27 June 1996. A plan and section were prepared at a scale of 1:500 using a self-reducing alidade and plane-table. Preparatory ink drawings were made and final illustrations prepared in graphics vector software at the reduced scales of 1:1000 and 1:2500. Only the smaller and less detailed version was published (RCAHMS 2007, fig. 8.11).
