NS 56450 66655 (centred) Pre-demolition Basic survey of 23 individual buildings associated with the former Western General Hospital, University of Glasgow Gilmore Hill Campus. Five of the buildings are Grade B Listed. External and internal photographic survey carried out to provide appropriate mitigation for Stage 2 Architectural Watching Brief during demolition.

1187365	RECORDING	STANDING BUILDING RECORDING	The Radionuclide Dispensary was built in the 1990s and occupies rectangular footprint with a tall pitched roof block and projecting tower situated at its south end. Built of ashlar throughout, the building is furnished with rectangular casement windows on all three sides. A staircase is situated at the south-west corner, below which is a double-leaved entrance door leading into a storage area. The building now acts as radionuclide facility for the Greater Glasgow NHS. 1187367	RECORDING	STANDING BUILDING RECORDING	This building is a former gate lodge and is now Maggie's Cancer Centre Office and is a Category C Listed building. The building dates from c.1870 and was designed by John Burnet senior with an addition by J. J. Burnet jnr. It is a single storey and attic asymmetrical Scots Baronial lodge, with a tower (probably above a stair) at its centre. The building is constructed of red sandstone ashlar that is now mostly rendered. The building has crowstepped gables on its south and west-facing elevations. Its interior has been comprehensively modernised to suit the needs of 21st century office space with meeting rooms, library and administration suites. [...]	4 May 2016
1187332	RECORDING	STANDING BUILDING RECORDING	The Clinical Pharmacology G-Block building is a four storey structure, built c.1910 as a western extension to the existing 1874 John Burnett Infirmary, which was demolished in the 1980s. The G-Block now occupies a rectangular footprint, but originally it had an H-shaped plan with four crow-step gables at each corner. Subsequent infilling with additional floors and link-bridges has radically altered its original form. A hipped-roof annex on its east side which functioned as a public reception area and laboratories, was added in the 1980. [...]	4 May 2016
