NX 97091 80290 An archaeological watching brief was carried out by GUARD Archaeology Limited as part of planning condition, on an area proposed for development at Category A listed Carnsalloch House, Dumfries and Galloway. The site amounted to some 2.48 hectares, and it was irregularly shaped with the existing buildings located quite centrally. No significant archaeological features or finds were encountered during the watching brief. The work was undertaken between 5th September and 7th October 2022.
