This palisaded settlement has been recorded as cropmarking on oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1984) lying on a low ridge about 180m NE of Plean Farm. About half of what is assumed to be the full circuit of the palisade is visible as cropmarking, the projected W half having been removed by the cutting for the B9124 road. The palisade was probably oval on plan, the visible arc to the E of the road cutting enclosing an area measuring about 42m from N to S by at least 27m transversely within the narrow palisade trench. There is an entrance gap on the SE, where the palisade terminals expand slightly. What may be a roundhouse, visible as an arc of a ring-groove and two pits, is visible as rather diffuse cropmarking in the interior.
