This ploughed-down enclosure is situated on a steep-sided narrow ridge, aligned N and S). Subrectangular on plan, its interior measures about 45.7m from N to S by 32m transversely; for the most part, the enclosing bank has been reduced to a low scarp but on the N it measures up to 7m in thickness and 0.6m in internal height. A shallow external ditch (measuring up to 4.4m in breadth and accompanied by a low counterscarp bank) is also visible on the N.

Aerial photographs clearly show that the ditch continues around all four sides of the enclosure, and that there is an entrance on the S side. They also reveal that there is a short length of ditch cutting across the ridge about 25m S of the enclosure.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS), 18 July 1990.

Listed as (rectilinear) settlement.
