NS 59064 55095/NS 59073 55298 Pre-improved road 3.3m wide, it runs along the W side of Thorntonhall Tennis Club. At NS 59059 55101 and NS 59074 55294 on opposing ends of the road are single pointed dressed sandstone posts. At NS 59058 55175 two sandstone gateposts are seen on the W side within the pre-improved road.

NS 58895 55170/ NS 59047 55077 Old track, now

tarmacadam, runs from the western side of Peel Road. On either side at Peel Road circular pillars topped with pointed coping stones, the one on the right seems to have been built later, not contemporary with the left one. The pre-improved Road and the tarmacadam track both lead to Thorntonhall House as shown on the 1895 OS map.
