Lochcote Castle.
A fragment of 17th century building stands 30 yards south of Lochcote House. It consists of a small vaulted chamber, probably the remains of an angle tower, with a window in each wall, and measures 7 feet 8 inches by 9 feet 2 inches internally and 12 ½ by 14 ½ feet externally. It is built of rubble with rounded external corners, the southern being corbelled out to the square. The upper part above the vault is modern.
