NS 7200 0659 to NS 7825 0457 A watching brief was carried out, between July 2020 and May 2021, during ground works for the Twentyshilling Hill Alternative Grid Connection Corridor. The works consisted of the archaeological monitoring of topsoil stripping and test-pitting and the fencing-off of known archaeological features that lay in close proximity to construction areas. In total, 213,800m2 of topsoil stripping was monitored. The works uncovered a prehistoric burial pit with possible Late Bronze Age urns inside a ring ditch, three pits containing sherds of possible prehistoric pottery, three linear features associated with a drove road, eight dry stone building remains or cairns, an upstanding stone, and a plough scar.
