NR 84478 97809 A pre-afforestation walkover survey was conducted over c200 hectares of land W of Cnoc na h-Eildhe, near Kilmartin, in May and June 2021. The area had been previously subject to a comprehensive archaeological walkover survey (Regan 2009) and so the sites were revisited and the existing record checked and a new photograph of each site made. During the walkover, 68 sites of archaeological or historical interest were recorded within or adjacent to the boundaries of the areas surveyed. The sites comprised: cup-marked stones, possible burial cairns, numerous walls and banks many of which formed field enclosures, ancient tracks, cultivation remains, clearance cairns, structures (dwellings, stores/animal pens), a township, a platform, quarries and twinning pens.
