Slate quarrying is evident on visualisations derived from Airborne Laser Scanning at Cuan Point covering an area of about 2.7ha. The main quarry (NM 7481 1448) is now flooded while a second (NM 7476 1439) was set into the cliff face to its S; spoil is focussed in both a broad fan to the W and a smaller area to the E, and two roofless buildings are apparent (at NM 7483 1441 and NM 7474 1442). The quarry is depicted on the 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Argyll and Bute sheet cxxi.SE, 1900).
