Excavation of a house platform near the sumit fo Tap o'Noth hillfort in Aberdeenshire. Previously sampled in 2019, with 3 - 6th century AD radiocarbon dates and imported amphorae. The 2021 extension sought to clarify the extent of the platform, identify potential structural elements and retrieve further samples for radiocarbon dating. In this regard, the excavation was successful, with additional artefactual information also proving useful. A large number of indigenous pottery fragments, amphora and some ferrous objects were recovered.
