Shaw Hill, Calkin NY 304 880 NY38NW 41
Set one above the other on the NE slope of Shaw Hill 600m SSE of Calkin there are two platform-buildings, their platforms measuring 14m bv 6.2m and 10.5m by 4m respectively. There are stone wall-footings along the SSE side of the upper platform and around the E end of the lower platform, and adjacent to each there are the remains of a possible small rectangular structure. On the hillside immediately to the N, rig-and-furrow cultivation extends over an area of about 13ha. (See also NY28NE 2).
