All that is now visible of two buildings, which formed part of the infrastructure of the battery introduced by the Army in the Second World War, is a single rush-grown concrete floor set into the scarp on the SW side of the military road (NH86NW 11.33). This measures 5m from NW to SE by 4.5m transversely.
The buildings are visible on an RAF aerial photograph (Scot 106G-DY-0025-6011) flown on 21 September 1944 and another (SCOT 106G-RAF-0751-6036) flown on 31 August 1945. They indicate that the building to which the floor can be attributed was situated on the SW side of a small yard overlying the road and that there was a second enclosure to its NW extending almost to the road's end. The second building was situated immediately SE of the yard enclosing its neighbour.
