On the NNE side of the grounds of Kincarrathie House (1853), there is a lectern dovecot which bears the date 1694 and the initials WSB/ISR on its skewputs. Measuring 7.17m from WNW to ESE by 4.10m transversely overall, its walls are of random rubble and were originally harled. The roof is slated and has plain wall-copes; there is a rat ledge and bird entry was facilitated by double ports in the front and ends. The interior has been gutted and the dovecot is now in use as a linesman's hut for the neighbouring cricket club. Visited by RCAHMS (IMS/PC), 20 June 1989.
