NF 87400 58550 (Canmore ID: 84376) Liernish (OAI 27) – Building – Two rectangular buildings outlined by mainly single skin stone walls are set out at right angles to one another and joined by a short passage. The larger, to the E, measured c6 x 3.5m internally and appears to have two entrances on opposite elevations. The building to the S may have the remains of a windbreak on its W side.

The smaller building lies to the NW, measured c4.5 x 2.5m internally and appears to have no other entrance than the short passage connection (c1 x 1m) to the larger building. This layout is almost identical to the Norse period house excavated at Kilphedar and dated to cAD1100. Immediately to the SE lie the remains of an oval building or enclosure c10m in diameter.
