This grass-grown cairn (which is apparently undisturbed) is situated on the W shoulder of Shien Hill and displays structural evidence of at least two phases of construction. The lower part of the mound measures up to 32.5m in diameter by 2m in height and appears to be composed largely of sand; above this level, its perimeter is defined by a narrow berm. The upper part of the mound is composed of a mixture of stones and small boulders; this upper cairn measures 15.5m in diameter by 2m in height.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS) 6 April 1989.
