This boundary stone, which is one of a series that once defined the extent of the War Department property on the North Sutor, forms part of the infrastructure of the battery introduced by the Army during World War 2. It lies prone on the ground 9.25m E of the NE corner of the Counter Bombardment Post (NH86NW 9.8). It is a cast concrete pillar, roughly triangular on plan, with a flat back and a sloping top bearing the impressed legend ‘W’ and ‘D’ on either side of an upward pointing arrow, with the letters ‘BS’ and the number ‘13’ below.
