As part of an environmental impact assessment, a specialist report on the potential archaeological and cultural heritage issues was commissioned by SCOTRENEWABLES (Wind Power) Ltd on behalf of the Highlands and Islands Community Energy Company (HICEC) in respect of a proposed scheme to construct a community wind turbine on land at Rothiesholm, Stronsay, Orkney.
As part of the assessment of the physical impact on archaeological and
historic sites, a walkover survey of the proposed development area was
undertaken. The walkover survey was undertaken on 31st March 2008 in bright sunny conditions.
