NO 62488 49145 A historic building survey was undertaken, 27 July 2017, in advance of the conversion of the mill steading to a modern house. The mill steading forms part of a wider complex of buildings consisting of a mill to the SW and the present mill house to the W. A settlement is known to have existed in the late medieval period at Boysack, although the present building probably dates to the early 19th century. The steading has been greatly altered, with large modifications such as the heightening of the building, the insertion of new doorways and the blocking of other openings. Breeze blocking had been used to block some of the main cart openings.
