226. Cairn and Enclosure, Priestlaw Hill.

On the summit of Priestlaw Hill, at an elevation of over 1250 feet above sea-level, is a circular stone cairn 40 feet in diameter and 4 feet in height. Encroaching on the western side is a quadrangular stone walled enclosure, 54 feet long and 30 feet broad at the middle, in the interior of which a cross of loose stones, laid on the surface of the ground, has been made in late times. The central portion of the cairn does not seem to have been disturbed, although the cairn may have been robbed to a certain extent to supply material for the adjoining structures.

RCAHMS 1924, visited 13 June 1913.
