162. Font, Foulden Church.

Lying in the burial-ground adjoining the parish church of Foulden is the basin of an old baptismal font, octagonal in form, with slight half-round projections at each of the angles at the base and lesser projections between each pair. It is 27 inches in diameter, the bowl being 16 inches across and 7 inches deep. It is said to have been brought from Nunlands.

See Ber. Nat. Club, 1890-91, p. 130.
