Below the 50 feet contour in the area between Carlekemp plantation and the burn east of Link House three cists containing remains and urns have been unearthed. The first discovered is recorded in the Proc. Soc. Ant. Scot. vol. xxxiv., p. 122. Twenty other cist burials were discovered 340 yards south of high water mark, while skeletal remains were found at the burn side just below the 25 feet contour.
